Camelopardalid Meteor Shower

Over the weekend, the new Camelopardalid meteor shower was observed by stargazers. While not reaching the spectacular level as the annual Perseids in August, some five to six meteors were seen per hour on Friday night. The meteors are the result of a debris trail left by comet 209P/LINEAR in the 1800s. For those not able to view the event live, check out the video presentation below from Slooh Observatory:
