Cartoon Characters in Real Life

Artist Miguel Vasquez recently posted his bulging-eyed Homer Simpson to Twitter with the message, "My 3D re-imagining of what Homer Simpson would look like in real life." In his disturbingly realistic version, Vasquez has detailed individual hair stubble, extra chins, and veins on the side of Homer's head. The California-based artist uses digital sculpting software Zbrush to produce his virtual creations, and has reinterpreted other popular cartoon characters, including a creepy version of SpongeBob SquarePants.
