Several months ago scientists identified the Milky Way's position in an immense cosmic structure called Laniakea. Stretching 500 million light-years across, our own galaxy appears as a small spot within the supercluster. Now, a team of researchers have begun mapping another even bigger concentration of galaxies, known as the Shapley Supercluster.
