The recently landed rover Curiosity has sent back a number of new photos of Mars, including a color panoramic image, and a mysterious shape on the horizon that turned out to be the plume from the crash of its own sky crane. Meanwhile, Pres. Obama, in a phone call with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) team was reported to say "if, in fact, you do make contact with Martians, please let me know right away."
