Cyclops Goat Born in Malaysia

A goat herder in Malaysia has an unusual addition to his flock following the birth of a kid that sports only one eye.

Awang Rosli Mat Taib says that the cylcops goat has become something of a star attraction in his village with residents swarming his home to see the creature.

The unique appearance of the goat, who Taib has dubbed 'Tuah Jabang,' is due to a condition known as cyclopia.

Although relatively rare, it seems that each year brings with it one such goat that manages to make headlines as happened last May with a similar cyclops in India as well as one in the Middle East in 2016.

According to Taib, concern for the health of Tuah Jabang led him to bring the creature to a veterinarian who, thankfully, give the goat a clean bill of health aside from its one-eyed condition.

This is, no doubt, great news to the goat herder who may see the potential to turn his cyclops into a cash cow by charging people to see the animal.
