In an eerie story out of Thailand, a woman thought to be dead was discovered alive when she knocked on the inside of her coffin for help. The strange incident reportedly occurred last week when a Buddhist temple near Bangkok was visited by a man who wished to have his departed sister's body cremated. The grief-stricken brother explained that the woman had seemingly passed away two days earlier after being bedridden for two years. Hoping to honor her desire to donate her organs, the man drove a staggering three hours to a hospital in Bangkok, but was turned away due to a lack of a death certificate.
The man subsequently traveled to his temple, which offers free cremations, with his believed-dead sister in tow. However, once again, his attempt to provide her with a proper send-off was thwarted by the same paperwork issue. It was then that things took a strange turn as, while chatting with the temple's general manager about how to get a death certificate, they heard a chilling knocking sound. Realizing the faint tap was coming from the woman's casket, they opened the box and found her ailing, but very much alive. Having narrowly avoided both her organs being harvested and cremation, the man's sister was taken to a medical facility, with the expenses kindly being covered by the temple.
