Earth As You've Never Seen It Before

Mail Online has posted a series spectacular photos of our planet taken by an astronaut on the International Space Station. In order to compensate for the speed of the orbiting craft (more than four miles a second), Andre Kuipers installed a motorized camera called a 'Nightpod' that tracks points on the Earth surface. The results are stunning night-time shots, including this one of a moonset. Check out the full gallery.
