A strange piece of footage from a maximum security prison in Brazil shows an eerie anomaly that some suspect could be a ghost.
The Capo Grande prison served as the scene of the odd incident that was captured by security cameras monitoring a cell block.
Around 25 seconds into the video, an enigmatic black cloud, of sorts, appears in front of one of the cells and then briefly hovers in the air before disappearing and reappearing again.
It would seem that the 'spirit' surprised the prison guards who were watching as the camera zooms in closer on the area in question likely to get a better look at it.
In fact, the event was allegedly so troubling to the guards that the rang the prison alarm because they thought the potential ghost was an inmate making an escape.
However, that was not the case, which raised the question of just what was behind the puzzling episode.
Prison officials say that the 'ghost' was merely the shadow of an inmate, but some paranormal enthusiasts do not believe that explanation and think that the oddity may have been the spirit of one of the jail's former residents.
Unfortunately, unless the ghost of a jailhouse snitch appears from 'the other side' to set the record straight, it's likely that we'll never truly know for sure.
