Eerie 'Figure' Spotted by Utah Traffic Cam

In addition to catching scofflaws and ne'er-do-wells, an expansive system of traffic cameras deployed by the Utah Department of Transportation may have also photographed a ghost!

The department shared the strange image on their Twitter feed this week and said, "We have 1,150 traffic cams throughout the state. Sometimes they catch some unusual things."

According to their post, the photo was taken at a site known as Soldier's Summit which was once a bustling location in the Old West but has been rendered a ghost town in modern times.

And, as one might expect based on its history, tales of spooky happenings taking place in the area are part of local lore.

Whether or not the image posted by the Utah DOT actually features a ghost is in the eye of the beholder, but one can't help but 'see' an apparition seemingly reacting with surprise at having its picture taken.

At the very least, photo manipulation can most likely be ruled out, since it came from official channels, making it somewhat of a breath of fresh air in the realm of odd 'ghost' photos.

Let us know what you think was captured by the traffic camera at the Coast to Coast AM Facebook page.
