NASA announced today that in its upcoming mission to Jupiter's moon Europa, their spacecraft will carry nine scientific instruments to assess the possibility or potential for life. Europa possesses a large ocean beneath its icy surface that astrobiologists regard as one of our solar system's best chances to house extraterrestrial life. More here.
