More than 40 years after shooting"The Exorcist," film director William Friedkin has returned to the subject matter-- but this time as a documentary!
In The Devil and Father Amorth, which just screened at the Venice Film Festival, Friedkin recorded the Vatican's exorcist Father Gabriele Amorth performing an exorcism on a woman, as she violently thrashed about, screamed, and foamed at the mouth.
Friedkin talks about the project in an interview with Variety.
