A sinkhole in Louisiana has been expanding since it first opened up in early August. According to a local source, the entire area of the 1-mile by 3-mile Napoleon Salt Dome is sinking. The original cause of the sinkhole may be due to the collapse of an abandoned mine cavern adjacent to the Salt Dome. More at the Examiner, and Phys.Org.
