'Farout' Planet: The Most Distant Object in Our Solar System

A dwarf planet, amusingly nicknamed "Farout" (pictured in an artist's conception) has been declared the current record holder of the most distant object in our solar system. At a distance from Earth that is more than 100 times further than our planet is from the sun, the object is believed to be spherically-shaped and have a diameter of around 300 miles. Its pinkish hue suggests it may be rich in ice, according to researchers. Learn more about the curious world at Space.com.
