Friday Night Feature: The Double Warning

--By Betsy Balega

This happened to me back when I was in high school in Pennsylvania. I was a junior, and there was a sophomore girl, Michelle D., who was trying to make a little extra cash, by selling Avon.I was making extra money, by babysitting, and to be honest, I was not into buying Avon.

But, one Monday, we were chatting after school and Michelle showed me her Avon book.Understanding how hard it is for us kids to get extra cash, I decided to cut her a break, and I ordered some Avon, under $10 worth.

She made out my order, then said, "You don't have to pay me till Tuesday, not tomorrow (which was Tuesday), but next Tuesday, when the orders come in." I was about to say, "OK." When I heard a voice say, "You will never pay this girl any money, because she is going to die, next Sunday, in a car accident, with her father."

I kept quiet and said "Ok, next Tuesday is fine." I never gave Michelle the warning.

The next Sunday, my Mom and Dad, and I went on a trip up into the Penn. mountains for the day.We were gone from about Noon till 6 pm. All day long, I was so sad, feeling ready to cry at any moment. I could not for the life of me figure out why. I could not shake this sense of overwhelming sadness and the feeling of tears ready to flow.

We arrived home around 6 pm, to the news that my friend, Michelle, had died that day, on Rt. 61, with her father, in a car accident, their car being hit broadside, when her dad tried to exit from a strip mall across 4 lanes of traffic, with no traffic light at the exit.

I then told my mom about the voice I had heard the previous Monday.I was so spooked that I wondered if i should talk to the priest at our Catholic High School. I never did. I often wonder, was I supposed to tell her not to go anywhere that Sunday?Since that time, I have become a medium, and work with Spirit every day.
In 1984, 13 years after my friend, Michelle's death, I was in a relationship, and confused about it. I attended a message service (at Britten Memorial Church), a Spiritualist church, here in Toronto, and Michelle came through to give me a message to "Forget that bum, break off the relationship, he is NOT the one for you." The rest of the story is, that I did listen to her; I listened to a ghost, and broke off a relationship because a dead friend told me to.

He married another woman. I found out a few years later, that Mr. X, had a bad habit of beating his wife to a pulp. My dead girlfriend may have saved my life, even though I did not save hers.
