The world's first full face transplant has been successfully performed by a team of doctors in Barcelona, Spain. The ground-breaking surgery took 24 hours to complete. The unnamed patient, who had been disfigured in a gun accident, received an entirely new face, including skin, facial muscles, lips, nose, teeth, jaw and cheekbones.
