The incredible showdown, which saw the monstrous snake wrapped around the scaly body of its slithering adversary, occurred at the 10th hole of the Fiddler's Creek Golf Club in the city of Naples.
Lest one think that the gator was in danger from the tight squeeze, the creature actually seemed to have the upper hand since the head of the snake was resting precariously in its mouth!
The two battling beasts were reportedly unfazed at being the center of attention from gawking golfers, much to the chagrin of impatient players wondering what was taking so long up at the 10th hole.
If they thought their wait was bad, one can only imagine how the dueling animals felt as the wild wrestling match lasted an astounding four hours.
According to witnesses, the ultimate winner in the war of attrition was the gator, who finished by dragging the snake into the water for a well-earned meal.
