Green in Greenland

Ancient plant matter has been discovered at a depth of nearly two miles beneath the surface of Greenland. Pictured is a pine-needle like material which scientists think could be several millions years old. It was retrieved by the North Greenland Ice Core Project(1), and some members of their team "think there is a possibility exotic life forms might survive in this ice," writes BBC News(2).
