Hiker in Australia Takes Photograph of a Yowie?

An Australian man hiking at an infamous location that was once the site of a massive massacre may have snapped a photo of the country's resident Bigfoot-like creature known as a Yowie.

Christian Anderson was exploring the location known as Coomba Falls near the city of Brisbane when he took the intriguing photo which features a curious shape in the background.

When he showed it to some residents of the area, Andersen was stunned when one person opined that the oddity was, in fact, a Yowie, which is essentially the Australian version of Bigfoot.

While the vaguely humanoid shape and dark coloring of the anomaly does somewhat resemble the legendary crypid, some have suggested that it may actually be a ghost.

Their reasoning is that, in the 19th century, over 300 Aboriginal people were slaughtered at Coomba Falls and, therefore, perhaps the eerie-looking figure is a spirit of one of the individuals who were killed there.

More skeptical observers argue that the strange shape is simply a trick of light and shadow and neither a mythical creature nor an apparition.
