Hunter Makes Gruesome Discovery after Bagging Deer

Last week, a hunter in Kentucky got more than he bargained for when he took aim and felled a buck with a magnificent rack of antlers.

Sportsman Bob Long ran to inspect his kill and found that part of the reason for the abundance of horns on the animal was the fact that it contained more than one pair. The deer was carrying the head of another buck, possibly as the result of winning a sparring match. The badly dried and decomposed head of the loser was all that was left.

The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources tweeted the find, saying, "It's unclear exactly what circumstances led up to this buck's carrying around another set of antlers and part of a decomposing carcass. Regardless, it was truly a rare harvest!!!" The post has since gone viral.
