The infamous Waverly Hills Sanatorium, long a favorite destination for ghost hunters visiting Kentucky, is set to become a hotel where guests can stay and possibly have paranormal experiences. In addition to 120 hotel rooms, plans also include a restaurant, conference center and a museum focusing on the history of the hospital. The mystery booms and rumbles heard at various locations around the world continue. Reports of a new round of booming noises are coming from the Washington state cities of Port Angeles and Joyce, where residents say the mysterious sounds have shaken their homes.

Michigan-based Delphi Automotive has developed an autonomous car which will be making a 3,500-mile road trip across the U.S. A representative from the company will sit behind the wheel during the journey but not take control unless there is a situation the self-driving car cannot handle. Researchers at Oregon State University have constructed what may be the fastest bipedal robot in the world. Known as Atrias, the robot is modeled after the most agile two legged runners out there—birds.
