According to Cambridge researchers, humans contain 145 'alien' genes not passed on from our ancestors. It seems these 'foreign" genes were likely acquired from microorganisms co-habiting their environment during ancient times. Scientists in Japan have successfully transmitted energy wirelessly 170 feet through the air. The breakthrough could one day lead to solar power generation in space.

Imagine being able to download and print a car. Mechanical engineer Eric Harrell may have gotten us one step closer. Harrell has created a scaled down 'working' Toyota 22R-E engine and 4WD transmission using a 3D printer, and the files for both systems are available to download. And check out this spooky Snapchat image taken by a teenage girl in Ireland apparently unaware of the creepy presence peering into her window.
