Maine Man Spots 'Iceberg Moon'

A man in Maine who was attempting to photograph the moonrise could not believe his eyes when it appeared to be rectangular in shape!

John Stetson marveled to the website Space Weather that "the moon looked like an iceberg" as it faintly emerged over Maine's Casco Bay on Sunday afternoon.

Fortunately, meteorologists were able to solve the mystery and explained that the amazing illusion is due to a combination of cool and warm air causing the moon's unique appearance from Stetson's perspective.

Of course, that has not stopped some people from speculating that the scene was some kind of alien incident, but one would probably be wise not to go down that path since it was so easily explained by scientists.
