In keeping with the state's reputation as the home of strange and unusual crime, police in Florida arrested a man for allegedly eating his breakfast in the middle of a busy intersection.
Cops in Lakeland, Florida say that Kiaron Thomas literally stopped traffic in the city last week when he set up a small table on a crosswalk and began eating pancakes.
The young man may have gotten away with his hijinks were it not for the fact that his friend had recorded Thomas' antics with their cell phone and posted the video online.
Although Thomas had finished his breakfast and left before police arrived, authorities were able to identify him from the video and subsequently arrested him for the odd crime which he explained was merely a prank.
Unfortunately, it appears that the joke is on him as Thomas now faces charges of obstructing a road and interfering with traffic.
