A night vision camera in an Australian forest captured a puzzling glimpse of a diminutive creature that no one seems to be able to identify.
Posted online to a Facebook page devoted to wildlife conservation in Australia, the video was filmed in a wooded area on the outskirts of Sydney.
It features an odd animal that appears to possess the characteristics of a variety of creatures, including a tail resembling a kangaroo and a gait that is reminiscent of a cat's prowl.
Viewers of the video have suggested a variety of suspects for the creature, including a wallaby, a possum, and a tree kangaroo.
Fortunately, no one has yet to propose that the creature is a chupacabra, but we're expecting that to happen any moment now that the footage has begun circulating online.
