Spectators at an airshow in Britain could not believe their eyes when they spotted a peculiar UFO that seemingly appeared alongside jets as they soared through the sky. According to a local media report, the intriguing incident occurred last Saturday afternoon at the community of Paignton. Having photographed aerial anomalies in the past, UFO enthusiast John Mooner attended the annual Torbay Airshow in the hopes that he might capture something similarly strange that day. Initially, it seemed that his effort was in vain as nothing particularly odd appeared throughout the event, but his patience was finally rewarded when the airshow culminated with a flyover by the famed RAF Red Arrows.
As the jets raced across the sky, Mooner recalled, "suddenly, without warning, a black anomalous object shot right through the middle of their formation at terrific speed." Having been waiting for such a sighting to occur over the course of the airshow, the UFO enthusiast had his camera ready and snapped several photos (one of which can be seen below) of the dark anomaly. Based on his perspective, Mooner marveled that "this object must have been going at least 1000mph as it passed dangerously close to the Red Arrows as it shot off and disappeared from view."
Remarkably, he was not the only person to photograph the weird object as another attendee, Emma Smith, captured the same UFO in her pictures from the event. "I zoomed in and couldn't quite believe what I was seeing," she recalled of the moment when she noticed the odd anomaly while going over her images from the event. A self-described UFO skeptic, Smith conceded that she had no explanation for the curious object which she likened to "the shape of a spinning top."
