Photo: ISS Crosses the Sun

Astrophotographer Miguel Claro has captured striking images of the International Space Station (ISS) as it briefly passed in front of the Sun. In Claro's sequence of photos the ISS was shot more than 20 times over the course of only 0.55 seconds, and appears as a golden belt stretching across the Sun's atmosphere. The images were taken on June 6 from Redondo, Portugal. Pictured is a similar image by NASA/Joel Kowsky from 2020.
