NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) has revisited sites it documented more than a decade ago and photographed this striking area on the Red Planet where a section of ice cliff has collapsed. MRO first captured layered deposits in the Martian North Pole in December 2006. The new photograph shows a dramatic change in the landscape with additional ice blocks viewable on the surface. The data collected by revisiting the 2006 sites will allow researchers to record changes currently reshaping the surface of Mars.
