RIP Hilly Rose

Radio legend and former Coast to Coast AM guest host Hilly Rose has passed away at the age of 91.

His amazing seven-decade-long career began in the 1940s when Rose was an actor on nationally-broadcast radio dramas.

After serving the country in World War II, Rose resumed his radio career by becoming one of the country's very first talk show hosts in the medium.

While working for KCBS in San Francisco, Rose famously landed a rare interview with the Beatles in 1964 at the height of Beatlemania.

A host on several California radio stations in subsequent decades, Rose's pioneering career was honored in 2016 by way of induction in the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame.

An avid paranormal enthusiast, Rose was a frequent C2C guest host in late 1998 and throughout 1999, memorably chronicling the run-up to the new millennium with his 'Y2K Reports.'

Coast to Coast AM is honored to have been a part of Rose's incredibly distinguished radio career and we thank him for the many, many hours of entertainment and information he provided to C2C listeners.
