Spectacular Celestial Event as Planets and Moon Line Up

If you can get up before dawn on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (April 14-16) you will be treated to a rare celestial display.

Three of the major planets will align while the crescent moon sweeps by them on three consecutive nights. In the northern hemisphere, Mars, Saturn, and Jupiter will line up in the southeast a few hours before sunrise. If you are in early riser, you will be in luck, since this alignment will not occur again until 2022.

Meanwhile, expectations for the comet C/2019 Y4 (ATLAS), which was expected to be spectacular may fizzle, if reports of its breakup and demise are accurate.
