A star photographed by Hubble called SBW1 may be getting ready to go supernova. Surrounded by swirling rings of purple gas that it expelled, it was once 20 times more massive than our sun. Located some 20,000 light-years from Earth, it will be safe to watch it explode if it does happen in our lifetime. More at Space.com.
