Toad, a five-year-old pit bull mix, has an extra mouth where her right ear would ordinarily be. The unique second mouth has teeth and even salivates. The Oklahoma City Animal Welfare shelter made the discovery when the dog arrived as a stray. Toad subsequently found a loving home at the Mutt Misfits Animal Rescue Society, which specializes in helping animals with medical conditions. "She doesn’t hear, see or smell very well because everything in her head is misaligned," said Heather Hernandez, the founder of Mutt Misfits, "but otherwise she’s totally normal."
