Video: Comet Plunges into Sun

The final moments of a comet that flew too close to the sun were captured by the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO). The minuscule object, estimated to be less than 100 yards in diameter, does not cause the flash at the end of the film. That was due to a coronal mass ejection which coincidentally occurred with the comet's approach. More here.
