A new exhibition at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo showcases ancient pieces of papyrus containing the writings of an official in charge of constructing the Great Pyramid.
The incredible records were discovered in 2013, but are only now being displayed to the public for the first time.
According to the archaeologists who found the documents, they were written by an official who was tasked with overseeing a team of 200 men that were building the famed landmark.
Contained within the records are insights into the administrative system behind the enormous construction project, including details on the daily life of the builders.
Written in hieroglyphics, the papyrus pieces are an astounding 4,500 years old and constitute some of the oldest writing ever found.
Unfortunately for fans of the ancient alien theory behind the pyramid, there seems to be nary a word nor symbol to indicate that ETs had a hand in building the structures.
