This week Virgin Galactic revealed the first look inside its new Spaceport America facility in New Mexico. The futuristic building includes hangar space for two carrier planes and five rocket ships, a spaceflight-operations hub, social center for passengers and their families, and an astronaut lounge. The flight-test program will continue from the new spaceport and after it concludes commercial space travel service will begin. A ticket to ride SpaceShipTwo currently costs $250,000, and more than 600 people have reserved a seat.
