A jaw-dropping piece of footage from a wildlife park in Malawi captures an incredible showdown between an aggressive crocodile and an elephant!
In the riveting video, a herd of elephants can be seen crossing a lake at the nature preserve when suddenly a crocodile leaps out of the water and latches onto one of the creature's trunks.
Chaos quickly ensues and a cacophony of cries from the other elephants fill the air, creating a chilling soundtrack for the scene.
The observers filming the action are justifiably shaken as the attacked elephant desperately tries to free its trunk from the crocodile's monstrous grip.
After several harrowing seconds, the much smaller animal gives up the attack to swim away unscathed, leaving behind several agitated elephants and a handful of witnesses who were simply stunned by what they had just seen.
While the crocodile may not have gotten its prey, it certainly fared better than the alligator that ran afoul of a horse last week.
