Watch: Daredevil Cat Makes Flying Leap off Utility Pole

A three-year-old tabby named Coco in Newfoundland, Canada climbed to the top of a utility pole to escape a neighborhood dog. But then, he couldn't get back down and spent two hours crying out.

A utility worker called in to rescue the stranded kitty ascended the pole as Coco's owner, Alice Reid, filmed the valiant effort. But just as the worker reached the top, Coco suddenly took an incredible flying leap to evade capture.

As luck would have it, the feline was apparently no worse for wear. He took off running after landing, and upon returning to the house, "he lied down on the floor and started washing himself like, you know, nothing ever happened," Reid told CTV News.
