A home security system in Peru has captured mesmerizing footage of an enigmatic orb that some viewers believe could be paranormal in nature.
The nearly-three minute video was posted online earlier this month and has garnered considerable attention from fans of high strangeness.
Allegedly the security camera used infrared LED lights to 'see' at night, suggesting that perhaps the object otherwise would have been unseen to the naked eye.
Some observers have theorized that the 'ball of light' could be a ghostly spirit or even perhaps some kind of diminutive UFO.
Skeptics, on the other hand, argue that the object is simply dust or an insect that was inadvertently caught on camera.
The 'flight pattern' of the orb does suggest the erratic movement of an insect, although there are no discernible details which would confirm that possibility when the footage is zoomed in on the orb.
