Watch: 'Ghost Train' Filmed in China

Security camera footage from a train station in China appears to show a rather odd apparition: a ghost train!

The weird scene allegedly took place at a railway station in the Chinese city of Baotou and subsequently made its way to a YouTube channel which published paranormal videos.

According to the person who purportedly submitted the video, the eerie event stunned security workers watching it unfold via their CCTV monitors with one veteran employee saying that they hadn't seen anything like it in the 12 years that they had worked at the station.

In the perplexing footage, the distinct outline of a train, complete with blazing headlights, can be seen pulling into the station, sitting for a moment as if picking up passengers, and then departing.

Viewers of the video have been left scratching their heads and, in some cases, trying to come up with possible explanation for what they just saw.

Perhaps the most down-to-Earth theories, is that it is some kind of technical glitch due to the reuse of an older security camera tape or simply a reflection which causes the appearance of a 'ghost train.'

More imaginative possibilities proposed, aside from the apparition theory, are that it is a glimpse of a parallel universe or some kind of secret test of Chinese invisibility technology.
