A motorist in Texas captured some truly mesmerizing and more-than-a-little unsettling footage of a massive swarm of birds overtaking an intersection.
In the strange scene, which was filmed in the Dallas suburb of Mesquite, thousands of grackles fill the sky to the point that they resemble a plague of locusts.
The bizarre sight becomes downright haunting when the driver rolls down his window and one can hear the eerie sound of so many birds gathered together.
And, as if all of this is not weird enough, such grackle swarms are apparently an annual occurrence in the area.
That would probably explain why other drivers can be seen moving along in a nonchalant way as the nightmarish moment unfolds over their heads.
