Watch: Swarm of Bees Stops Traffic in London

Rush hour traffic along a street in London came to a near standstill earlier this week when a massive swarm of bees descended upon the scene.

The bizarre incident unfolded on Greenwich Church Street as Londoners left work and tourists headed towards the famed Greenwich market packed the sidewalk.

Observers were largely aghast at the swarm as the bees not only filled the air but also collected on a variety of surfaces such as traffic lights.

However, in a sign of the times, others who were witness to the event were less concerned with being stung by the bees and more interested in filming the swarm so they could share the footage on social media.

The bizarre event lasted nearly 90 minutes and was eventually dispelled after a beekeeper arrived to help quell the swarm.
