Watch: Weird Winged 'Thing' Bites Tasmanian Teen

A strange video from Tasmania appears to show a teenager being attacked in a graveyard by a mysterious winged creature that left him with a gruesome bite mark!

The incident allegedly occurred when the young man, named Tim, was exploring the location with his friends.

Rather than treat the scene with respect, the teenager acts rather rambunctious as he roams the cemetery, laughing and throwing sticks in the air.

His behavior may have drawn the ire of something supernatural as, suddenly, Tim begins swatting at his neck as if he is being bitten.

The onslaught eventually becomes too much for him and he runs away from the area in great distress.

Intriguingly, as he begins his retreat, an eerie white anomaly that appears almost humanoid in nature can be seen flying through the air.

A subsequent video, created by the teens after their visit to the graveyard, shows the shaken young man sitting on a couch as his friend marvels at the horrifying abrasion on Tim's neck.

You can see that video and Tim's wound here, though we warn you that it is rather graphic and not for the faint of heart.

Theories as to what may have attacked the teenager range from a vicious flying insect to more paranormal possibilities, including an angry fairy or other elemental being.

It certainly seems as if Tim's antics in the graveyard caused the 'attack' to happen, although one should be cautious about jumping to that conclusion, since it could have just been a coincidence.

Indeed, some skeptical viewers have even gone so far as to suggest that the Tasmanian teens orchestrated the video in an attempt to achieve some kind of viral fame.

Should that be the case, the theoretical hoaxers showed a remarkable level of commitment to the bit, in light of the ugly nature of the wound on the young man's neck.

Then again, considering the lengths that some people will go to achieve notoriety online, that may not be too far-fetched a possibility.
