'World's Ugliest Dog' for 2016 is Crowned

A blind Chihuahua/Chinese Crested mix named Sweepee Rambo took home the coveted title of World's Ugliest Dog for 2016 at the annual competition held on Friday.

Hailing from Encino, California, the repugnant seventeen-year-old pooch captivated judges and attendees at the festivities with her mesmerizing eyes, wild hair, and overall unsettling appearance.

Currently in its 28th year, the World's Ugliest Dog competition celebrates the unique 'beauty' found in canines that would otherwise be dubbed creepy by the world at large.

And, proving that looks aren't everything, participants are not only judged on their appearance, but also their personality as well as audience feedback.

By virtue of winning the World's Ugliest Dog competition for 2016, Sweepee's owner received a $1,500 prize and an enormous trophy that dwarfs the tiny champion.
