Amy Alkon

"Miss Manners With Fangs" the LA Weekly called anti-rudeness vigilante Amy Alkon. Alkon is the author of the science-based and very funny book, "I See Rude People: One woman’s battle to beat some manners into impolite society." Alkon recognizes that the manners questions of our age aren't where to put the doily or whether the man should walk on the outside, but what you do when some rudester is shouting into cell phone in line behind you at the drugstore.

She uses anthropology and behavioral economics to show why people today are so rude and offers substantive (and often hilarious) ways we can all fight back against all the rude people who try to shove us around daily. Alkon also writes a weekly, award-winning, science-based, syndicated love, sex, dating, and relationships advice column that runs in about 100 newspapers across the U.S. and Canada.
