Thomas Georges

Thomas M. Georges received a Ph.D. in engineering from the University of Colorado. From 1963 until 2000, he worked as a research scientist at the Boulder, Colorado, Laboratories of the U.S. Department of Commerce, first with the National Bureau of Standards, and most recently with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), where his research focused on ocean remote sensing using over-the-horizon radars.Dr. Georges is the author or co-author of more than 100 publications on radio and acoustic-gravity-wave propagation, ionospheric dynamics, meteorology, radar oceanography, and atmospheric and ocean acoustics.

His book, Digital Soul , is not for experts in computers or artificial intelligence. It's for ordinary people who are curious enough to ask questions, and who want to be able to make informed decisions about the course of AI's development.
