Joseph Laycock

Joseph Laycock is an assistant professor of religious studies at Texas State University. He has written dozens of articles and books on supernatural and paranormal topics including vampires, Marian apparitions, and exorcism. Thousands of people believe in these phenomena, yet they have traditionally been ignored by historians of religion. With other scholars, Dr. Laycock has suggested that paranormal beliefs and practices should be taken more seriously.
