Stan Lee

After graduating from High School, Stan Lee landed a job at Timely Comics where he worked under Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. Stan was soon promoted to editor and never looked back, staying with the company through the years and the company name changes, until finally, in 1961, he started writing and creating characters his way, revolutionizing the industry.

Although Stan is renowned for all the lead characters he masterminded, and is known to millions as the man whose Superheroes propelled Marvel Comics to its preeminent position in the entertainment industry, Stan "The Man" Lee also dreamed up hundreds of supporting characters, along with the many, many colorful villains we love to hate.As Marvel's head writer, editor, art director and top creative force, Stan, working with various illustrators, gifted the world with character after character, dazzling the reading public with the The Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, X-Men, The Incredible Hulk, The Avengers, Thor, Iron Man, Daredevil, Silver Surfer, Dr. Strange and a host of other characters and stories. Stan's name has graced the cover of more that 2 billion publications in 75 countries.
