Akashic Wisdom / Self-Healing Techniques

Date

Hosted byLisa Garr

In the first half, expert in the Akashic Records Lisa Barnett joined Lisa Garr (email) to talk about the Akashic Knowing Wisdom Prayer System and the "vibrational keys" used to directly and easily access your own Record. She described the Records as extremely detailed accounts of the soul's journey, through the current lifetime as well as all of those previous. By consulting the "library" of Akashic Records we've accumulated over thousands of years, Barnett explained, it's possible to identify the plans we've made for ourselves in past lifetimes, which usually include putting our various gifts and talents to use for the continued improvement of our soul's circumstances and spiritual health. Barnett has taught many people how to access their own Akashic Records, she related, which involves a process she said she received from the "keepers of the Akashic Records" using a "vibration prayer" system. The first step involves attuning oneself to the Record-reading process in order to move from the less-visionary state of the current lifetime to the higher forms of existence the Records promise.

As we become more skilled at reading our Akashic Records, Barnett said, we may notice that many of our past lifetimes were plagued by poverty, sickness, and other imperfections. However, she noted, if we learn to read closely enough, clues to better alternatives become apparent. Someone who wants to succeed as an author, for instance, can look into their Record for occasions in past lifetimes where they exercised skills that would be helpful to a present-day author. In this way, Barnett stated, we are actually drawing from our many-layered "memories" of individual progress and empowerment in order to improve our prospects for the present and the future. Barnett then took calls from listeners, including one who wanted to know about Akashic wisdom's connection to Hindu teachings.

Brandy Gillmore, a Ph.D. in natural medicine, is a world-renowned mind/body energy expert who is known for her discoveries in self-healing and working with the power of the mind. In the latter half, she discussed how her expertise in self-healing originated from her own devastating accident that left her disabled and living in constant excruciating pain. During this time, Gillmore recalled, she realized that the root cause of her suffering lay not in her injured body, but in her subconscious mind. From this insight, she developed a theory of physical healing that revolves around the mind's ability to read the "messages" illnesses and injuries communicate, in order to tie physical ailments to a patient's patterns of seemingly unrelated negative attitudes and behaviors in other areas of their life.

Gillmore again stressed that overcoming the psychological roots of illness and disability means getting beyond the "transmission energy" of conscious effort to improve, and instead accessing the "core energy" of the subconscious. This is difficult to do, since subconscious thought is, by definition, not usually available to people. But thanks to another by-product of her accident—a heightened ability to feel what others are feeling—Gillmore said she's in a unique position to coach people into getting to their core energy. It's very important to note, however, that progress in this kind of healing is often slow, and must be approached incrementally.

In the final hour of the show, listeners called in with their questions. After one described her chronic spinal pain as a "nine out of ten," Gillmore said she was looking into the caller's energy, asked her a series of questions about her overall happiness and her relations with others, and then revealed what she believed to be the true cause of the caller's pain: her belief that she was alone in her struggle.
