Benefits of Hypnosis

Date

Hosted byIan Punnett

The British Medical Association has defined hypnosis as a "transient state of altered attention." Some define it as an altered state of consciousness, while others describe it as a constructed psychological state. Dr. Elena Gabor, who has redirected her focus toward researching a new field of study called subconscious medicine, the science of the subconscious universe, joined Ian Punnett (Twitter) to discuss pioneering techniques for exploring the subconscious and superconscious through hypnotherapy, helping people open new and unexpected doors into the fascinating realms of past lives and the afterlife, and to gain access to the universe where all souls originate.

"Hypnosis is a property of our consciousness," Gabor explained, describing it as a state humans enter multiple times a day and even during the night. She acknowledged a common misconception people have about the hypnotic state causing patients to "speak without knowing." That is not hypnosis, that is channeling, Gabor added. We enter into a hypnotic state whenever we are focused on tasks such as watching television, reading a book, or driving a car, she continued.

"In hypnosis, the conscious mind becomes quiet and the subconscious opens and becomes available," she said, pointing out how the hypnotic state allows one to better receive suggestions or to follow the directions of the hypnotherapist charged with helping them. She estimated about 99 percent of her clientele are able to get into a hypnotic state. According to Gabor, hypnosis can help with numerous problems, including improved quality of sleep, stress management, anxiety, depression, ADD, emotional and physical health, and pain management.

"Hypnosis is just a state, nothing else... hypnotherapy is the use of various techniques and therapies in the state of hypnosis," she disclosed. Gabor spoke about techniques she uses, such as guided imagery and regression therapy (age, past life, and life beyond). She suggested we can experience so much trauma in a past life that it will carry forward into our current one. Gabor refined the idea of past lives to include "simultaneous existences of our consciousness." Once you access the root cause of the conscious symptom in your subconscious, the symptoms disappear, she revealed.

Body Snatching

In the first hour, historical journalist Andrew Lenoir commented on a recent news story about body snatching (related article). Classical body snatching for the most part, went away in the early 1900s with the opening up of unclaimed bodies for medical research, Lenoir explained. "These days, it seems to be more of a fetish thing or perhaps even like a belief in spiritual practice," he said. Lenoir reported on an incident from 2018 involving a woman selling bones she found floating up to the surface of a cemetery after a flood. Laws about the importation of human remains into the United States have tightened, he revealed. Lenoir and Ian also hypothesized about how 3D printing of human body parts may one day discourage body snatching.
