Natural Remedies / Future of AI

In the first half, Dr. Joel Wallach addressed the human body's ability to achieve healing through natural remedies and supplements that aid in the body's recovery from chronic conditions. He emphasized the importance of avoiding unhealthy foods (which include fried foods and processed meats) and taking nutrients that support the immune system. Regarding recent reports that taking too much vitamin D can be detrimental, he acknowledged that while supplements are vital to one's health, there is a balance in taking the right amount of them. "Diseases are not genetic in any way, shape, or form. They're simple nutritional deficiencies," he declared.

An example of this, he continued, is osteoporosis, which he said is caused by a deficiency of calcium and vitamin D3 and other minerals like copper. The condition of tinnitus (ringing in the ears) is a form of osteoporosis, said Wallach, and it's caused by the skull squeezing the cranial nerves. Disorders like Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and MS involve issues or deficiencies with myelin (sheath around nerve fibers in the brain and spinal cord). Myelin is made from cholesterol, and the increase of people taking cholesterol-lowering drugs in recent decades is correlated to the rise of these types of diseases, he argued.

In the latter half, author and philosopher Jonathan Zap discussed the present and future of AI and its potential to alter the human species and society. AI has brought us to a "fundamental breaking point in human history," he remarked, as it holds "possibilities of evolutionary transformation, but also a high probability of extinction of the species, as we know it." It's like we are living in a science fiction novel, he commented, as with AI and AGI (artificial general intelligence that can write its own code), we have, in effect, created another species that is rapidly evolving and could have "a million times the cognitive firepower" of humans. It's not a huge leap to consider that such a super-intelligence would seek to control or change us, he pointed out.

Zap believes the AI revolution we are witnessing is related to the "Singularity Archetype" he first wrote about decades ago, involving humanity hurtling toward dual "event horizons" with massive technological change and the death or rebirth of the species. He sees a parallel between the Singularity and some aspects of the paranormal, such as near-death & out-of-body experiences and telepathy. He cited the possible use of virtual reality as a way for people to explore out-of-body states and enhance human evolution. Zap also detailed how he teamed up with a mathematician/AI engineer to turn his extensive Oracle cards into an AI large language model in which a person can dialogue with the system and receive a seamless and meaningful reading. This new system will debut later this year, he announced.
