Evidence of Life After Death / Open Lines

Hosted byRyan Wrecker

Author and researcher Sandra Champlain joined our new guest host Ryan Wrecker to share her transformational journey that began with a profound fear of death. Raised Roman Catholic but lacking personal spiritual conviction, she found herself plagued by anxiety about the afterlife. This fear drove her to a decades-long exploration into life after death, seeking out both scientific and experiential evidence, she revealed. Although initially skeptical, a series of personal losses—most significantly the death of her father—compelled her to seek an understanding of grief and the afterlife.

Champlain emphasized the universal patterns she has encountered in her research on near-death experiences (NDEs). She highlighted recurring elements such as floating above the body, encountering an overwhelming sense of love and peace, meeting deceased loved ones and spiritual beings, and experiencing a panoramic life review. She noted that these experiences are not confined to religious individuals—atheists and skeptics have reported similar phenomena. Champlain acknowledged that some individuals have harrowing NDEs that serve as wake-up calls, resulting in significant life transformations. She believes these shared experiences point to the survival of consciousness beyond death.

Champlain also discussed how communication with the deceased is possible and more common than many believe. She explained that, at a quantum level, we are all energy and thus remain connected even after physical death. She described techniques such as meditation, dreams, lucid dreaming, and automatic writing that can facilitate contact with loved ones who have passed. She argued that the afterlife is not a distant realm but a continuation of consciousness on a different vibrational frequency, coexisting with our current reality. According to Champlain, this idea reframes the presence of the deceased—not as distant visitors, but as beings within a shared, layered universe.

Open Lines followed in the latter half of the program. Aaron from Tempe, Arizona, shared his interest in Bigfoot, specifically praising the work of Todd Standing and his YouTube channel "Sylvan Bigfoot." He described Standing's videos, which feature close-up images of alleged Bigfoot creatures in remote areas near Banff National Park, as unusually realistic and compelling. Aaron emphasized the clarity and detail in the footage, including visible facial features and natural coloring, which he found convincing. While intrigued, he said he maintains an open yet cautious mindset, acknowledging the need to avoid jumping to conclusions.

Zana in Carson City, Nevada, shared a personal and emotional story about her boyfriend who died by suicide, and her experience shortly afterward. She described a surreal, possibly supernatural encounter that felt like a final goodbye—being transported into a vision where she embraced him in the exact spot where he had died. She recounted strange events around that time, including unexplained noises and unusual behavior from a cat named Baby, which she felt may have been connected to the experience. Zana interpreted the moment as a peaceful release of grief and a possible sign that her boyfriend was reaching out for closure.

Christian from Elk Grove, California, shared his passion for exploring cemeteries, a hobby he finds peaceful and historically rich. He runs a YouTube channel where he documents his visits, often researching the lives of those buried—whether everyday individuals or celebrities—to tell their stories. He emphasized the value of cemeteries as reflections of community history and expressed a deep curiosity about the past. Christian also acknowledged the Find A Grave service and the meaningful contributions of groups like the Boy Scouts who honor graves, especially veterans, on occasions like Memorial Day.
